A good book, very lyrical in the tone. The paperback arrived quickly and was high quality. Would recommend for fourth grade and up.There's a certain thread of grief and dealing with death that parents may want to be aware of in case their kids ask questions, though. Ellie deals with some heavy things fairly young, although honestly nothing worse than what happens in Harry Potter. Maybe a good book if a kid is already trying to cope with loss or a new step-family, to help ease the process.

I just finished CG Webb's book "Ellie and the Magic Oak". I found it to be a delightful retelling of an old classic. It had some very good twists and turns in the plot line that kept it vibrant and new and not just the same story revisited. I give CG Webb a two thumbs up on her endeavors. Keep up the good story writing
Well written book with mega detail that was interesting and informative. Webb is able to give depth to her characters and keep the reader enthralled with the story. A book go all ages and mindsets!
